Brewing news UK: Greene King plc brings the number of ordinary shares owned by Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 217,532

Greene King plc announced November 28 that, on 27 November 2006, 800 ordinary shares in the company were transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy shares awarded to employees of the group. As a result of the transfer, Rooney Anand, Ian Bull, Justin Adams, Mark Angela and David Elliott, who are beneficiaries of the trust, no longer have an interest in the 800 shares in the company. This brings the number of new ordinary shares in the Company owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 217,532.

Greene King has been brewing beer and operating pubs for over 200 years. Founded in 1799 by Benjamin Greene, it has grown steadily from its base in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk to become a leading pub retailer and ale brewer in the south of England.
